This game is really really boring. If you dont get off to a good start you spend the next 5 hours starving in a hut with barely any firewood and burning away all your calories trying to sleep until its daylight. And then its pretty much all over again. Pretty game but I couldnt get into it very much. Of course that was like a year ago.

I played an early access version on this on my mac (i know) before there was a story or a lot of these environments or characters. It looks like it’s become something much greater since. Really excited to play the full thing on PS4.

The art style in this game is very pretty. The atmosphere shown in some of these scenes is really well created. Also glad to see this is a post-apocalyptic world that’s steering away from Zombies. Refreshing.

In some scenes the game looks really amazing and mesmerizing. For example 1:43 or 1:48. And then in others it looks dated and quirky.

Hey look time to cash in after they bilked kickstarter backers early access steam backers (myself) and the Canadian government for years. I paid for this false promise game in fall 2014 for a story they promised would be out the next spring / summer.
Now that it’s time to try and cash in on PS4 with an indie folk “feels” song that has zero to do with the game and complete smoke and mirrors trailer what do the people that backed them get.
I hope they go out of business and I won’t be buying this on PS4 or any other product from this dev. One of the worst examples of kickstarter and early access, caveat emptor. Buyer beware.
They are releasing a finished product aka season / episode but this game is why I don’t support those ways for devs to make games anymore. If you make it good and release it then that is when people should decide. Not on i owe you’s and rewards that never ship.
If you are new to this game watch a lot of twitch to see what you are actually getting for your $$.
If you are like me and very interested in real survivalism and you like good stories this game is not going to serve either, in the same way survival gameplay elements are getting put into a lot of indie games lately and even some mainstream ones in more game and less realism ways.
Have a read though the steam reviews that is what you are going to be getting.
I still have yet to heard back from the devs on a refund to what was a game that was grossly falsely advertised when I bought it.
