Yo this exactly how I played Until Dawn!! I brought like five of my friends together and we each chose a character to play throughout the story. One-by-one we lived and died by our choices! So happy to see this is an actual feature in this game!!!

I look forward to friends making bad choices on purpose to troll me

I hope they won’t just have too many jump scares like Until Dawn did. It’s way too much. After the middle of the game, I didn’t get jumpy anymore.

Horror games shouldn’t be played with others, they should be played solo. Having multiplayer in one kills the vibe. But then again, it is optional, i wont be touching the multiplayer mode, that’s for sure.
