Developed with Unreal 4, Styx: Shards of Darkness, creeps into an ambitious new sequel with a host of new features! Today, we are unveiling the very first gameplay video of Styx: Shards of Darkness, where you can watch our goblin hero sneak, climb, swing, and kill through the Port of Korangar on a mission offered by his latest shadowy client. This is the perfect opportunity to discover some of the new features and gameplay mechanics added to this new episode of Styx.
In search for the Ambassador’s magical Scepter stolen by a shape-shifting Elf, Styx must infiltrate a diplomatic summit through clever use of the environment and new crafting abilities. A new feature, crafting, enables Styx to use more abilities, such as throwing a cocoon large distances enabling him to teleport into a newly hatched clone of himself.
The series’ lauded verticality returns, with many choices of routes and tactics to take throughout the level. Stick to the shadows on the ground, avoiding patrols, or turn to the walls and cielings to sneak past or attack from above. Kill, or subvert; the choice is yours – just don’t be seen!
The leveling system returns expanded and enhanced. Using the magical power of Amber, Styx is able to turn himself invisible for a short period of time, and if you choose to upgrade this skill, it can even turn victims invisible while you go in for kills. By levelling up the assassination tree, Styx gets access to improved aerial kills, as well as the ability to kill an enemy from a barrel or box and stuff the body inside in a single, swift, move.
Styx’s second adventure builds upon the foundations laid Akenash, with more fluid movement and climbing abilities, a richer story told with cinematics including an enhanced bestiary, and side-missions to complete for the sneakiest of goblins.
Styx: Shards of Darkness comes out early 2017 on PlayStation 4!
Stink ?
okay okay
frist
nice
Finally something that isn’t a 2d sidescroller, a turn based indie game or
some ‘artsy’ game with boxes and circles.
Your player look disgusting
Finally an ACTUAL stealth game for ps4
5000k is Coming
I love this game, yet I could never complete it cause I suck with stealth
xD
Did anyone actually want this sequel?
It seems cool
metal Gear Solid with goblins
yo
Got Styx: Master of shadows from PS plus was actually really good
challenging fun reminded me of PS2 esque gaming good to see it did well
enough for a sequel
Cool!
but For you cusuals just play on easy you’ll still have fun
Can’t wait for them to rehash this level.
Is that a new voice sounds gravelly
no
i love it
THANK YOU SO MUCH 4 PS4 MODS THANK U
lol wow I did not expect a sequel for this game. but I have to say I’m
pretty impressed and the graphics/art style is a HUUUUUGE upgrade! I’ll
probably pick it up if it’s a reasonable price.
sharts of darkness
ugly hitman
They made another one?
this looks great…definitely day one buy
This just remind me of Splinter Cell.Wtf happen to it? This looks good btw.
Looks much better than the previous one. :3
good job
Styx : The Clone Continues *dramatic music* *lightning & thunder effects*
I really hope they will improve the jumping and climbing. It was quit
annoying in Master of Shadows, and made me reload the game so much. But I
will put this on the list, I really enjoyed the MoS.
Amazing graphics….terrible animations
3:37 that has to be the worst rope physics i’ve ever seen since ps2
While the game does look nice, it still suffers from enemy tunnel vision
like all Stealth games. 5:20
looks amazing can’t wait to play it :)
Is it open world please some one tell me
looks good ! I’ll wait until its more cheaper like free to play :)
this game is not a ps4 exclusize right? i this a pc gameplay? will it play
at 45-60 fps on ps4?
bought this on ps plus.. wanted a clean stealth walkthrough. lot of
failures, lot of restarts from last checkpoint.. annoyed by its long
loading.. deleted it.. stealth games need shorter loading, blind
walkthroughs are expected to have a lot of failures before achieving a
clean stealth on each level/mission..
Lol ew…what an ugly and annoying playable character.
I hate elves
“Today we’ll avoid killing humans and elves”
One minutes later; *Pushes elf over cliff and mentions;* – “Remember, a
dead guard is a quiet guard”.
