Square Heroes is a fast-paced arena-shooter, featuring competitive couch and online multiplayer gameplay.
Humanity is again relying on the Square Avengers to survive a vicious alien onslaught. Unfortunately for humanity, our Avengers are busy proving their credentials in the Galactic Hero’s Tournament. Hone your skills and level-up your character in the local single-player tournament, or skip straight to the main event and challenge your friends in one of the hilarious and frantic online skirmish modes.
Multiplayer
All maps support six players including bots as desired. Local multiplayer supports up to four human players and online battles allow up to six. What’s more, multiple local players can join online matches together, enabling online couch vs couch gaming.
Game mechanic
Square Heroes features a unique gameplay mechanic: choose your available weapons at the start of a round and unlock them by collecting loot. Rounds begin with Melee combat and progress through weapon categories of Light, Heavy, Explosive and Special. This mechanic ensures gameplay variety so each match is never the same. Strategically choose your load-out to defeat your foes!
RPG elements
Earn experience points during gameplay to level-up your character. Reaching a new level rewards you with an epic new weapon or a stylish new hat. Enhance your character’s statistics by choosing from the unlocked melee weapons and hats.
Other Features
– Game modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Gnome Hunt, Team Gnome Hunt and Survival.
– 30 challenging Trophies award stat-buffing hats
– Seven stylish 2.5D maps

Where do Sony get these devs from
I find it funny that the majority of console gamers want triple A games,
while the majority of pc gamers want indie games.
Here’s a tip. Get both pc and console, buy the games you want. When you’re
unhappy about a game that’s been released, cry to your mother, she might
care.

How many more of these arena shooters are we gunna get this year? I’m
sticking with tower fall ascension, unless this game becomes a free game
eventually too.
