ReplyGuys… its from creators of Dead Space…
ReplyOkey, so I do like the concept of playing a blind person, and that premise sounds amazing especially in a horror game BUT! including the ability to (even kind of) “see” using sounds takes most of it away again, like it does with Daredevil. That guy’s a super-hero, but if what we see in the trailer will be most of the game, then what’s really the point of the premise outside of abusing it for scares (hiding stuff that’d be there if you could see, but can just suddenly, somehow, not hear) and neat visuals? I get that a horror game, or any game really, where you’re (almost) completely blind would get frustrating and feel stupid really quickly, but then this premise isn’t really what it sounds like.
ReplyAlso, one thing that makes horror games, or movies, scary is to take a “normal” situation, insert some kind of supernatural, dangerous/gruesome entity/situation/event and then let the characters act as real as possible again to see how they will deal with it. The less “realistic” the characters are, the less scary the movie/game is, and I feel like this might happen here, too. I hope I’m wrong though, and will give it a chance!
Blind people are magic!
Replythis looks interesting i’ll be giving it a try.
