This is definitely one of my unsung favorite games of all time. There’s something about it that just works. The story is bad, the characters are flat and forgettable, the graphics are a little shoddy, the original game’s frame rate was terrible, the game was perpetually locked in a wide screen aspect ratio with bars on the top and bottom of the screen, the world is relatively small (which I think is a good thing though).
But despite all that, it’s still one of the most charming and flat out fun games I’ve played in quite some time. It’s literally the definition of flawed gem. I’m happy to be revisiting this game as I type this and I’ll gladly spend another 100+ hours playing this new version. A sequel would be nice though too. Haha.

I just couldn’t get into this one. It had interesting combat, music, and visuals, but I hated that you had to walk everywhere, you didn’t know how strong some big enemies are until you get molested by them, and all the repetitive chatter from pawns that you couldn’t level up or make. Also had a confusing inventory system.

Seems like a pretty low effort remaster but it’s still nice because the PS3 version was so goddamn blurry and this game is fantastic.

This game is such a gem. The combat mechanics and feel of this game are amazing. So glad they got the team who made this working on MH World.

I think I played this on PS3 when it was free on PS Plus but I never really took the time to get in to it, looking at it now it looks great.

I recently got Dragon Age Inquisition for £3 and…well I can see why it was £3 so this game should be a much better fantasy fix, given that the gameplay isn’t terrible.
