All these free trials lately.. seems like no one is really buying these new games, and the publishers are trying to get them off the shelves…
LOL must be selling like gangbusters if there is a free trial play already. Doesn’t bode well for the state of gaming.

OK so the pattern I’m seeing is that whenever a game fails to meet sales expectations, we get a demo. Maybe this is backwards? Maybe just always build a demo, get metrics and feedback, sell more copies that way instead?
Downloading on PC and PS4 atm. Can’t wait to try!

2001 demo…heres a disc with a game that’s coming out in 6 months. 2017 demo….heres a trial of a game that came out 4 months ago and didn’t sell as much as we wanted

Wouldn’t it be better to just release a demo before the release like in the past? From what I see right now they’re mostly exclusive content prepared for gaming events like E3 and such.
