Destiny 2 Leviathan Gauntlet Raid Guide – Read Description For Detailed Instructions

The Destiny 2 Gauntlet Leviathan Raid encounter guide. The goal of this encounter is to fill up the center console with all the glowing orbs. There are 9 total.

If you look around the room you will see 4 tall pillars in front of a 3 vertical arrows. It will start once someone is standing on all 4 pillars around the room at which point a group of mobs will come out. Once you’ve killed enough a Imperial Centurion will spawn and shortly after a Psionic charge you can pick up below the arrows of the Chalice and Hound column. Assign 2 people as “Runners”. They will need to grab the charge when it spawns and then be teleported to the track along the outside of the arena. The other 4 people are shooters. I highly recommend people change their armor perks to favor mobility.

Once the runners teleport away they will be holding an orb that will eventually run out of power causing them to die and respawn outside. They must complete 4 through the circle puzzles to reach the end and then deposit the orb in the center of the arena.

When they enter the gauntlet they will see a 3×3 grid of green/blue circles. Outside the gauntlet, you can have two groups of two or have one person stand on each pillar throughout, it’s your choice. We have one on each pillar. For the runners, they will be facing either the Chalice or Hound 3×3 grid. One of the shooters needs to be on the matching pillar to reveal a red circle for the runner. The runner then needs to communicate which row contains the red circle. It’ll either be Top, Middle or Bottom. It doesn’t matter which column it’s in. The shooter(s) must shoot the two arrows outside that are not the position the runner called. For example, the runner sees a red circle at the top. The two shooters at the pillar must shoot the middle and bottom arrows until they turn green. When green, the runner can now run to the next position through the circle. If they turned them green QUICKLY, there will also be a orb in the circle that will recharge them so they don’t die. This is important.

One player can shoot both triangles to green if they have a quick firing rifle or SMG. If the runner calls Middle and you have to shoot the top and bottom, that’s when you want to have the second shooter helping. Assign one to always shoot the lower one and one the higher one. If you go with two groups of two, they’ll have to each follow one of the runners around the room. If you stick with one on each pillar, you can assist shooting neighboring triangle patterns from across the way as long as you’re on any pillar.

Once the runner passes through a circle, a Psion will appear and needs to be killed quickly or it’ll be a wipe. Once a runner makes it through all circles (4 total) he returns to the center. This will reset the cycle. You will do it 3 times total with the runner having to deal with gaps in the floor and other obstacles. You will then have to do the gauntlet with the entire party.

If you managed to get both runners to the end the first 3 times, you will only need to get 3 party members through. If you missed 1, then you will need 4. If you missed more than that, wipe. For the final gauntlet the entire fire team will need to coordinate who grabs a recharge orb first. There are only 4. Anyone who doesn’t get an orb the first time must get one the second time or they’ll fail. You can miss one as long as you get the next. If you fill all the orb slots at the end, you win the gauntlet.
