Axiom Verge is a retro-styled 2D “metroidvania” action-adventure, inspired by such classics as Rygar, Contra, Bionic Commando, Blaster Master, and of course, Metroid. But it also gives you power over glitches like those found in classic games, Allowing you to scramble enemies, corrupt environments, and enter hidden areas.
What’s so special about Axiom Verge?
Tom Happ spent five years creating Axiom Verge entirely by himself, including the programming, art, story, and music. From its initial release, Axiom Verge has turned quite a few heads when it launched in 2015. Since then, the game has also launched on several additional platforms, been awarded a plethora of stunning review scores and has received dozens of awards from major publications — including PlayStation Blog’s “Editors Choice 2015,” Hardcore Gamer’s “Best of 2015,” Giant Bomb’s “Top Games of 2015,” and more.

What does this add that the original didn’t have?
welp……time to buy this game again.
This game is amazing, very reminiscent of Metroid. It’s getting a physical release like many other sucessful indie games like Shovel Knight, Stardew Valley etc I don’t understand the dislikes .
Uncharted
Are you kidding me this game for PlayStation 4 i can believe
Meh
When is out for Switch boizzz
I had the PS Vita, I wanted this game for it, that was close to 2 years ago. The battery blew up in my Vita and Playstation Support was horrible. No thanks Playstation, Switch Zelda has me more than covered.
so no dlc of 45 dollars?
YouTube Rule #1 there will always be dislikes, always
so stop asking why
I’m glad this isn’t going through Limited Run Games. People that actually want a physical copy will be able to buy one without having to go through Ebay. I don’t like how LRG artificially makes the games seem more rare.
Wait? A Metroid game on PS4?
Hopefully it doesn’t cost as much as other physical releases as I’ve been looking to buy digital games that had limited physical releases for a long time and Axiom has always been under my radar.
GOTY!!!!!!
Finally! This seems to be a better release than what Limited Run Games would do.
I’m in.
*Pushing that PS4 Pro to its limit*
Oh yeah ps vita that exist
