Daylight Trophy Guides and How To Beat Hard Mode in Under 5 Minutes

I have spent much time recently in the horror genre. Wrapping up the Outlast Whistleblower DLC and jumping straight into Daylight. These videos are a direct result of fan requests. Many of you have sent me messages asking me to do Daylight. I hesitated because the world in Daylight is procedural, meaning that the maps are randomly generated. I figured what good would be watching me pick up collectibles in my game when they weren’t going to be in the same location in yours.

It turns out, that there are certain areas within the game that are not procedural and those are the safe areas. These are areas before and after the procedural areas. Procedural areas are all the areas where you need to collect a certain number of remnants to get the item that ultimately opens the door to the next area.  The safe areas contain the blue remnants as well as 13 hidden cursed photos.  I show you in the video below all 13 locations for the photos.

In addition to the photos, there is a secret picture you can view when holding your glowstick upon it. This is located in the warehouse early in the game.

And for those people who didn’t play on hard difficulty right from the beginning, here’s a nice little easy way to skip having to do an entire new playthrough. If you beat the game on Easy or Medium difficulty, you can follow these steps and get the Sadomasochist trophy in less than 5 minutes

  1. After completing the game, when you return to main menu change the difficulty to hard in settings and apply changes
  2. Select resume game and once in game, change the subtitles to off and apply that change.
  3. Run to end of game
  4. Enjoy your new trophy

If you play the game on Easy, this is a good time to complete it without dying and not using any flares (except the one you have to use as part of the story in the docks). If you come upon a ghost, just keep your back towards it and you’ll be fine.
